Typology refers to the study of systemic variations between languages. One of the interesting fields in typology is the word order in demonstrating similarities and differences between languages. This paper attempts to provide a typological status of colloquial type of East Armenian language considering word order. The theoretical framework which has used in this paper is the 24 components of word order, introduced in Dryer (1992). This study has done through descriptive and analytic method and the investigated data gathered through Ten hour interviewing with an Armenian language (Tehrani dialect) lady who has lived in Tehran. Forty eight sentences were planned according to the mentioned components. The transcribed Sentences were investigated according to those components. Regarding the available results, we could claim that the Armenian language has got SOV word order in general. Because this language has shown a SOV dominated pattern in 12 cases and 6 cases it has shown a SVO dominated pattern. In general regarding the result of this study, we can conclude that the East Armenian language has a great tendency to SOV languages.
