In the present paper it will be tried to take into consideration some problems concerning doing lexical semantics both in structural and poststructural tradition. By "structural" I mean Saussurian way of thinking elaborated in Cruse's lexical semantics."Poststructural" also means Derrida's deconstructionism philosophically and Jackendoff's foundation of language and semantics and cognition linguistically. In order to clarify the distinction some key points must be reviewed . Finally, interplay between two approaches is preferred on the writer's part ;This means the affering and prospect of "Cognitivism".
