دلایل یادگیری زبان انگلیسی در میان زنان مسلمانان ایرانی: بررسی نقش برخی عوامل

English language learning reasons or as it is called "orientations" which affects the English language proficiency indirectly ,can be affected by some variables in its own turn. Unfortunately a few studies deal with these kinds of variables. SalimNs(1995) study deals with the effect of gender in integrative orientations. He (1997) poses that female muslems, under pressure of the Islamic laws in their country are more integratively oriented than males in Canada as L2 community. The present study tries to investigate the effect of some variables including gender on the kinds of orientation of the undergraduate English majors in Iran , as an Islamic country. The results indicate that among investigated variables gender affects on the kinds of orientation but just the opposite of what Salim claims.
