To represent present discourses in social institutions specially a family, we can profit Medias and discursive texts as a discursive tool. How serial and movies represent a family institution and its probable discourses such as religious, governmental and west cultural discourses and whether serials can reveal Aristotelian All or Nothing Theory which shows completely good and bad characters or not is a question answered by this present article investigating one of the Iranian serials (Kimia directed by Javad Afshar). To answer to this question, Laclau and Moff's Theory and Soltani's Discursive Semiotic Pattern were used as a theoretical framework. Gathering and data analysis was performed based on critical discourse analysis and presented in form of 11 diagrams and 7 tables. Finally, by investigating personal and family identities of characters; religious, governmental and west cultural discourses in the serial were observed. Exaggeration in the serial was revealed by using the two approaches, All and Nothing Theory and accomplished investigations due to textual, inter- textual and contextual analysis, as well.
