Some different topics influence sociolinguistics; one of them is pragmatics. Pragmatics is the study of language from the speaker's point of view. In recent years, this point that how politeness is applied in social conversations, how it is preserved and the way it is understood, considering environmental, cultural and social conditions, has found an important role in pragmatics. A lot of applied and theoretical studies about it have been done. This research has studied politeness strategies used by teachers according to Brown and Levinson's politeness theory (1987). In this study, some variables like gender, age and power have been considered and strategies and super-strategies used by teachers in the "suggestion" speech act situation have been studied. To reach this end, data were collected by a discourse questionnaire. The questionnaire had five questions which asked participants to give suggestions to six audiences in different social power situations. Results showed that all research variables except age variable in equal power situation and that variable among men, cause significant differences in using politeness super-strategies in suggestion speech act situation
