Abstract
In this paper the effective factors on root compound acquisition in child language has been discussed. Firstly, different models of lexical morphology and their views about compounds were concerned and then regarding the researches on child language acquisition, four basic factors: transparency, productivity, simplicity and frequency were discussed and for each one some examples were introduced. Then one factor which was not concerned before was discussed. This factor was the prosodic form of the compounds and was considered as an influential one on language acquisition. Comparison of the effect of different factors was introduced as a new domain of research.
