Abstract
In this study a sample of 1328 names of students admitted in Entrance University Exam has been analyzed to test and verify the names of boys and girls in Iran and their frequencies ,types of compound names proportion of each alphabet as the initial letter of these names. The study has been compared with similar study conducted a few years ago to show the degree of differences between the two studies in terms of the sources of naming as well as frequency in the groups.
