Linguistics Abilities in Persian Parkinson's Patients(PD)

Abstract
It is known that patients with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) may show deficits in several areas of cognition, including speech and language abilities. One domain of particular interest is, the capacity of using language for a successful communication. Several studies showed that some specific aspects of linguistic both in production and in comprehension – might be impaired in patients with PD. This study examines Persian-speaking Parkinson's patients' ability to understand and judge syntactic information in language. I analyse simple, complex and interrogative constructions from the perspective of syntactic and neurological theories of language. Subjects included 3 patients with Parkinson's disease in early stage, 3 patients with advanced stage Parkinson's disease and a control group of 20 persons. and a control group of 20 persons.
