Critical Discourse Analysis of the Novel “The Carless Man Hole My Red Balloon”

Discourse analysis is one of the most important issues in linguistics. We can decoding a lot of codes that provides the author of the story. Some of discussions presented in the text, are a series of subjects that belong to hypertext. However, employing and criticize these hypertextual discussions could have major effect on the understanding of the story. This article with using discourse theory of "Laclau" and "Mouffe" - which is a framework for analyzing the socio-political discourse – demonstrate that What are the strategies which represent political discourses, and how reflects in novel in format of hegemonies networks. In this regard, a novel “The carless man hole my red balloon” is considered as a instance. Finally, we result that dominant discourses in the novel through antagonism and foregrounding of own authority points and weakness points of other explaining hegemonic discourse, and this caused perpetuates domination and power.
